Hello!
Today I am going to talk about 3 mistakes newbies (including myself!) can make while starting their fitness journey.
- Going way to heavy than what you can lift and not lifting it with proper form.
- Not having a plan of what you are going to when you step into the gym.
- Forgetting that nutrition is key.
Lifting too heavy and not having proper form will only cause you to hurt yourself. Leaving your ego at the front door while at the gym is something everyone should do. No one cares how much weight you can push around, they just don’t want to see you get hurt.
Having a plan when you walk into the gym is a good idea so you don’t get there and start to walk around wondering what to do first and so on.
Weight loss is 70% diet and only 30% gym. You could workout as hard as you’ve ever had and not see much of a change, at least not a good change. Everyone is different but I’ve noticed in myself if i’m not paying attention to my nutrition I don’t notice any gains.
