Hello!
Plateau’s are something I’ve struggled with in both weight loss and weight training. A Plateau is when you have little or no change following a period of activity or progress. So in my instance, I’ve been at the same weight for quite some time and haven’t been moving up on weights in the gym as much or as fast as I would like to. This is a normal thing that just about everyone has to overcome! The first thing you could do to get over a weight plateau is to adjust your calorie intake. This would also differ if you’re trying to put weigh on, or to take it off. If you’re trying to gain weight obviously raising your calorie intake (making sure they are good calories of course) and if you’re wanting to lose weight to lower your calorie intake. Another way to get over a plateau is to change your workout routine up. Doing the same workout every second day isn’t going to get you very far. If you do the same workout all the time your body gets used to it and knows what coming next. Where if you could trick it by throwing in different workouts you will see gains much quicker! Sleep also plays a huge part in plateau’s along with, well everything in life. If you sleep better you will see results quicker in every aspect. Plateau’s are normal, and you’ll overcome it. Changing some things up in both diet and exercise and you will start to see the results you’ve been waiting for!
