Throughout his 14-year CFL career, kicker Dave Ridgway earned all-star accolades, league awards and set many team and CFL records. But for Roughrider fans Dave will be forever known for “The Kick”. His last second heroics in the 1989 Grey Cup game is one of the greatest moments in Saskatchewan history.
A Canadian Football Hall of Fame inductee and Roughrider Plaza of Honor member, Dave earned the nickname Robokicker for his consistency and dependability in clutch situations.
Dave is also a fantastic story teller. A locker room leader and practical joker, Dave will entertain and inspire audiences of all ages. During his keynote presentation, Dave will have you laughing as he recounts stories from his bestselling autobiography, the 1989 season, the Grey Cup win and inside tales about many of his memorable teammates.
As a business professional, Dave is very comfortable sitting around the board room table talking to company executives. In addition to his sports stories, Dave can deliver high level motivational, inspirational and goal orientated messages to the corporate community.
Dave, who was a recipient of the Canada 125 Medal by the Government of Canada, and his wife Connie live close to Louisville, Kentucky. Their lives revolve happily around their four grandchildren, William, Lucy, Claire and Hazel.
